Miami BCM is a multiethnic Christian ministry for college students at the University of Miami, offering community in which you can know and love God and experience his love for you. Our goal is to see every student thrive in the purpose and mission God has for their life. Our vision, mission, and values are listed below.

Director
Andrew Fernandez

Andrew Fernandez serves as the BCM Director of South Florida and is passionate about the Local Church and discipling the Next Generation. Prior to this, Andrew served as a pastoral intern at Christ Family Church in Miami, working with Student and Collegiate Ministry.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Florida International University and a Master of Christian Studies from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has been married to his wife Josie for seven years, and they have two children, Amelia and AJ.

Staff Members

Sam and Mia Mitchel

Sam and Mia serve as staff members for the 2025-2026 school year. Sam and Mia are UM alumni who felt a call to serve as campus missionaries at UM on staff with the BCM.

Sam graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business technology and Mia graduated with a bachelor’s degree in marine science.
